Emergency Planning and Community
Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) required facilities which store or manufacture
hazardous materials to prepare and submit a chemical inventory report by March
1st of each year to the State Emergency Response Commission (SERC), LEPC
and the local fire department. The inventory form must include
information on all hazardous chemicals present at the facility during the
previous calendar year in amounts that meet or exceed thresholds.
This information is available to the public.
Each Local Emergency Planning Committee
(LEPC) is required to have a hazardous materials response plan approved by
the SERC. These plans are available for public review.
